Is Poitras Going Through First Tough Patch For the Bruins?
It's been three straight games without points for the 19-year-old Bruins rookie
Is Boston Bruins rookie center Matt Poitras already going through his first little valley in an NHL season that’s sure to be full of highs and lows as a 19-year-old experiencing it all for the first time?
It’s a far question to ask after the teen-aged center went through his third straight scoreless game for the B’s in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre. They haven’t all been poor efforts at all, as Poitras was lauded for his play centering Jake DeBrusk and Danton Heinen in this week’s win over the New York Islanders when he drew a pair of key penalties with his speed and puck possession.
