Montgomery was a record-breaking coach for the B's, but none of that mattered when the team hit a wall this season
BRIGHTON, MA – There is no question that Jim Montgomery will get another head coaching gig in the NHL after winning 120 games in two plus seasons as the bench boss for the Boston Bruins.
But a gaudy won-loss record and a Jack Adams award with a loaded roster also doesn’t mean that the Black and Gold made the wrong move when they fired Montgomery as the head coach of the B’s this week.
Not even close.
