Does Patrick Kane Make Sense For the Bruins?
The 34-year-old winger is nearing a free agent decision, and the Bruins are actually in a position to make a pitch
The Boston Bruins have parlayed sold defense, stellar goaltending and adequate offense into the NHL’s best record (12-1-2) through the first month of the NHL season. They are third in goal differential behind the Golden Knights and Canucks, and just middle-of-the-road offensively while learning how to possess the puck and be dangerous with fewer established weapons than they had last season.
They do have a top-5 goal-scorer in the league in David Pastrnak that’s got 11 goals in 15 games, and they’ve got an exciting young rookie center in Matt Poitras that’s going to be an X-Factor this season when it comes to offense.
