Dawning Of A New Era With The Boston Bruins
The retirement announcement by David Krejci hammers home that we are all entering a new era for the Black and Gold
Though it was expected, the Monday morning announcement that David Krejci is retiring from the Boston Bruins and the NHL really hammers home that the Black and Gold are entering a new era of hockey. It started three years ago when Zdeno Chara moved on from the B’s and signed with the Washington Capitals, and it continued earlier this summer when captain Patrice Bergeron rode off into the sunset after nearly 20 years calling Boston his hockey home.
And now it’s really setting in after the 37-year-old released a statement through the Bruins full of gratitude, appreciation for a 1,032-game NHL career and fulfillment that he was able to go out on his own terms.
