Carlo Supplies Steady Hand For B's This Season
Jim Montgomery calls the veteran Bruins D-man "a rock" while sitting among the NHL leaders in plus/minus this season
BRIGHTON, MA – As Boston Bruins players go, Brandon Carlo is never going to be somebody that’s going to be hogging the glory when it comes to the success of his hockey team.
There is very little pizzaz for being a true stay-at-home D-man, but the former second round pick has been one of Boston’s best on the back end this season. The 27-year-old is a true shutdown defenseman through and through that’s always going to focus on killing plays, getting the job done as a penalty killer and keeping it simple with a crisp first pass out of the zone and ready offensive support.
Carlo has a goal and six points and leads the Bruins with a plus-13 mark that has him in the NHL’s top-10 this season while averaging over 20 minutes of ice time per game.
